We're waiting to go for a sea swim in the mouth of Hafnarfjörður until after the weekend.
Sea swimming enthusiasts are asked to postpone their swim in Hafnarfjörður Harbour until after the weekend. Sewer pipes are being cleaned.
Pipes cleaned
The pumping stations in Krosseyri and Óseyri will be cleaned on the 4th and 5th of June. Untreated sewage will be discharged into the harbour. We therefore ask sea swimmers who usually swim from the beach by Herjólfsgata to wait until after the weekend to ensure their safety.
Hafnarfjörður apologises for the inconvenience caused by the repairs.
