The Family and Children's Services Department of Hafnarfjörður is seeking to hire staff for the support service for summer cover. The job percentage is 100% 

The Support Service is responsible for a wide range of services for the residents of Hafnarfjörður. It strives to provide a personalised service.

Key tasks:

• Help with general household cleaning
• Activate service users
• Assistance with dressing, eating or giving pre-measured medication
• Social support
• Collaboration with other support service staff
• Other tasks as per the job description and as assigned by a superior.

Educational and competency requirements:

• Experience in a support role is desirable.
• Positive attitude at work, a helpful nature and good communication skills
• Initiative, organised working methods and independence in work
• Icelandic proficiency at a minimum of level A2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
• Driving test 

A requirement is that the individual has a clean criminal record. A record of good conduct is required, e.g. having an excellent reputation and ensuring that behaviour and actions, both at and outside of work, are consistent with the role.

Remuneration is in accordance with the collective agreement between the Municipalities' Salary Commission and the Hlíf Trade Union.
