Víðistaðaskóli óskar eftir að ráða skóla- og frístundaliða í 50% starf í frístundaheimilinu Hraunkoti.

Um er að ræða starf sem felur í sér stuðning og aðstoð við nemendur í frístundaheimilinu eftir hádegi alla virka daga. Eftir að hefðbundnum skóla lýkur geta nemendur í 1.–4. bekk farið í frístundaheimilið Hraunkot. Þar sem boðið er upp á fjölbreytt tómstundastarf til kl.16:30, alla virka daga, óháð getu, þroska eða fötlun barna. Sérstök áhersla er lögð á að koma til móts við alla hópa.

Key responsibilities and duties:

  • Assistance with professional work with students
  • Works under guidance from the next senior manager.
  • Fosters good discipline and positive communication
  • Participates in the planning, preparation and delivery of a diverse range of leisure activities.
  • Promoting the well-being of young people in partnership with parents and other professionals.
  • To involve as many people as possible, regardless of ability or development, in a variety of activities and to take full part in the activities and events that are organised.
  • Other tasks as per the job description and as assigned by a superior.

Educational and competency requirements:

  • Experience and interest in working with children an advantage
  • Agility in communication, flexibility and cooperativeness
  • Initiative and autonomy in work methods
  • Positive attitude and good interpersonal skills
  • Interest in working in a creative and ambitious environment
  • Punctuality and conscientiousness
  • Good knowledge of Icelandic

A condition of employment is that the applicant has a clean criminal record.
