Happy Days in Hafnarfjörður 2026

The singer Valdimar is performing at Hellisgerði on Friday evening, 25th September. The concert will be one of the highlights of Hamingjudagar 2026, which are now getting underway in Hafnarfjörður – Yes, they run for the whole of September.

Happiness will be spread throughout the town with runs, outdoor activities, singing, music, yoga, sea bathing, a knitting café and an informative walk. Everyone should therefore find their own way to happiness.

The programme begins on Tuesday, 1 September, when Krissi will be offering a ten-kilometre escort through the town in Happiness Run. Two days later, Rúnar Pálsson leads us through Happy Helgafell and Friday evening, 4th September, will be a real treat. Happy Song Party with Guðrún Árnýja in Hellisgerði. A class act that no one should miss.

Those who wish to slow down and find happiness in stillness can take part in Happy Yoga Nidra in Hellisgerði on 9, 12 or 26 September. Then, on Tuesday 15 September, there will be Happy Sea Bath with a Cheerier You.

On Happy Knitting Cafe at Ægi 220 On Sunday, 20th September, knitting, chat and pleasant company will be the main focus. Jónatan Garðarsson will then lead Happy Walk Wednesday evening, 23rd September.
