The severe weather and heavy snowfall on 17th December have caused delays to collections and services, including refuse collection within the town's wards. As a result, collections are now at least three days behind schedule. Residents are permitted to place their sorted rubbish bags in clear, large plastic bags alongside their grey and blue bins, but some delays are expected into the new year.

The bad weather and high tide on 17th December have delayed collections and services, including rubbish collection within the town's wards. As a result, collections are now at least three days behind schedule. Residents are urged to clear the access to their bins to allow refuse collectors to reach the grey and blue lids, ensuring they can be emptied. If access to the bins is not clear when the refuse lorries are in the area, the bins will not be emptied until the next scheduled collection according to the refuse collection calendar.
In light of the current situation, residents are permitted to place their sorted rubbish bags in clear, large plastic bags alongside their grey and blue bins, but some delays may be expected until the New Year.
