Charging begins at Seltún

Gjaldtaka á bílastæðum við Seltún í Krýsuvík tefst og er nú stefnt er að því að hún hefjist 1. júlí. Seltún er óviðjafnanleg náttúruperla í landi Hafnarfjarðar. Kosta mun 750 krónur fyrir fólksbíla og 1500 krónur fyrir rútur þegar gjaldtaka hefst. Fjármunirnir verða nýttir til að styrkja svæðið, viðhalda og vernda. 

Seltún is one of the country's most beautiful natural gems. It is an active volcanic crater and borehole area. There are walking trails and gravel paths. The diverse array of colours in the nature of the hot spring area at Seltún captivates many.  

The maintenance of paths and the development of walking trails at this popular tourist destination is a priority for the City of Hafnarfjörður. There is also toilet facilities available during the summer. 

• Does it matter how long you stop for? After 3 minutes, a charge will be applied and the charge is valid until you leave the area. 

• How is the charging done? HPayment can be made in the app and/or at a till which will be on site. The arrangement is the same as, for example, at the Thingvellir National Park.
