The Christmas Village in Hafnarfjörður will be opened with a festive programme on Thorsplani when the lights are switched on the Christmas tree on Friday, 29 November. The Christmas tree is a gift from Cuxhaven, Hafnarfjörður's twin town in Germany. Due to work on the dualling of the Reykjanesbraut (41) through Hafnarfjörður, the south-west slip road at the Krýsuvíkurveg junction will need to be closed.
