which was held at Hafnarborg from 26 January to 3 March last year, has received
nomination as Music Event of the Year (single concerts) in category
classical and contemporary music The Icelandic Music Awards 2020. In the judging panel's reasoning for the exhibition, it says: „Exciting
and an original show with an impressive opening concert. Here, the focus was on interplay.

The exhibition celebrated its fifth anniversary
The anniversary of the eponymous concert series, which has been on the programme at Hafnarborg.
all from the year 2013 and dedicated to contemporary music. At the opening of the exhibition
moved Jennifer Torrence the work Nine bells, as mentioned in
the reasoning of the judging panel, but the performance of the work at the Hljóðana concerts in the autumn
2016 (then performed by Frank Aarnink) was in fact the spark for the exhibition itself,
where music and visual art met in the timeless space of the museum.

The curator was Thráin Hjálmarsson, composer and artistic director
of the Hljóðana concert series.

In connection with the exhibition, a splendid programme was also offered, including concerts.,
other music-related events and performances, with a number of domestic and international
artists and musicians, such as Harald

Fanney Sigurðardóttir, Marko
Ciciliani, Barbara
Lüneburg, Sharpness,
Berglindi M. Tómasdóttur
and others. The concert was also part of the programme of the Dark Music Days, which
receive a total of four nominations this time.
