Power cut in Hafnarfjörður
There is currently a power cut in Völlunum, Hafnarfjörður, and partially in Holt and Ásland. According to information from Landsnet, a trip occurred on the 11 kV SP2 outlet in Hamranes, which caused the power cut in these areas. The likely cause of the trip is that a cable trench was dug into. Repairs are underway.
The new youth centre is called Hamarinn.
A youth centre, which recently opened in the old Tax Office, has been named The Hammer. The new name for the youth centre was voted on last night at the founding meeting of the house association at 14 Sudurgata. The name Hamarinn was chosen from the 18 suggestions that were put forward, but the name is taken from the beautiful outdoor recreational area located a short distance from the youth centre itself.
