The Education Committee of Hafnarfjörður approved today to pay for school supplies for all primary school children. The Education Committee proposes that, from this coming autumn, the municipality of Hafnarfjörður will provide primary school pupils with learning materials, i.e. stationery and exercise books, free of charge. The Rólo Playground
This summer, the Róló play scheme will be operating at Smyrlahraun 41a during the nursery schools' summer holidays, from 12th July to 9th August. Opening hours are 9 am - 12 pm and 1 pm - 4 pm (closed at midday). Róló is for children aged 2-6. Children must be dressed for the weather and bring a change of clothes. Please note that there are no indoor facilities.
Hraunvallar School awarded
This spring, a competition was held for the promotion of the 'Velkomin – Resources for Reception and Communication' project. A fun and rewarding choir trip
From 24th-29th May, an excited group of 60 children from the Lækjarskóli Choir went to Norbusang, accompanied by six chaperones, Ólöf, the choir director, and Smári, the choir's accompanist.
