Message to tenants in Hafnarfjörður
From 1 January 2017, the processing of housing benefits was transferred to the Employment Service. The Employment Service processes housing benefits electronically, so there is no longer any need to submit the original tenancy agreement as was previously required. Hafnarfjörður advises tenants to collect the original tenancy agreements from the Hafnarfjörður Service Centre at Strandgata 6 for their own safekeeping.
