Pre-registration for school gardens

This summer, children aged 7–12 (born 2004–2009) have priority to register for the school gardens of the City of Hafnarfjörður.  Registration began on the first of May and closes on 14th May. Harvest Festival of Cleansing

Closed for the swimming gala and 1st May

Ásvallalaug will be closed from 16:30 on Friday, 29th April, and all day Saturday, 30th April, due to a swimming competition.  The South Pool will be open to the public from 8 am to 6 pm tomorrow, Saturday, but both pools, Ásvallalaug and the South Pool, will be closed on Sunday, 1st May, the International Workers' Day and a day of struggle for the trade union movement.

The municipality of Hafnarfjörður offers its residents plots for hire for growing at Vatnshlíð, Kaldárselsvegur. There are 125 plots available for rent, each approximately 40 m².
