After-school clubs for children in Years 1-4 operate at all primary schools in Hafnarfjörður. The role of the after-school clubs is to offer a wide range of leisure activities after the school day ends for pupils aged 6-9. The after-school clubs are open until 5 p.m. every weekday after school finishes. They are also open on INSET days and on weekdays during the Easter and Christmas holidays, but attendance is by application.
