Notice of the Town Council's decision:
Amendment to the Master Plan for the I4 Industrial Area in Hafnarfjörður. Amendment to the Detailed Plan for Kapelluhraun, Phase 2, for Álhellu 1.
The Hafnarfjörður Town Council approved a proposal at its meeting on 13 March 2024 to amend the 2013-2025 general plan for Hafnarfjörður, concerning Industrial Area I4 and a proposal for an amendment to the local plan Kapelluhrauns, Phase 2 for Álhellu 1. The outline plan provides for the expansion of the I4 industrial area into undeveloped land to the east by 1.2 hectares. The detailed plan amendment involves the expansion of a plot. Alveg 1 and an increase in the utilisation rate. The proposals were advertised from 11 January – 23 February 2024. Comments were received, which led to minor changes to the plan after the advertisement. The amendment has been sent to the Planning Authority for approval.
