When an unexpected illness suddenly comes knocking and brings you crashing down, a person experiences all sorts of emotions. Sometimes consciously, sometimes unconsciously, and sometimes long afterwards. The pictures represent the emotional healing process after illness and during it. Everything from being brave and overwhelmed, experiencing uncertainty and the wait. Many emotions back and forth.

Eva Jenný Þorsteinsdóttir (1991) has a BSc in Psychology and has been working within social services for many years.
She has always been interested in drawing but never really made time for it until she unexpectedly took it up after an operation she had in the autumn of 2023.

She always had a perfectionist streak, so when she started drawing after the operation, she used only a pen to overcome this tendency and be consciously in the flow with each drawing. The works are from autumn 2023.

The exhibition opening will be on Thursday, 28th November from 18:00-20:00 and all are welcome!

Other opening times:
Friday 29 November 15:00 – 20:00
Saturday 30 November 13:00 – 18:00
Sunday 1 December 13:00 – 18:00

The event is sponsored by the Cultural and Tourism Committee.
