Here you can apply for a temporary supply position in the nursery schools of Hafnarfjörður, as we are regularly looking for staff for a wide variety of supply roles. We can often accommodate requests for a specific working pattern, adjust hours to suit other jobs or studies, or offer part-time work. Please state in your application if you are looking for a specific working pattern or part-time work.

Temporary cover positions are not always advertised, and managers will then search the applicant pool. These are cover positions intended to last for no more than 12 consecutive months, for example due to holiday, sickness, maternity or study leave.

Applications here are only considered for temporary cover positions and will not be taken into account for vacancies that are advertised separately. We therefore encourage you to keep a close eye on all advertised vacancies on the City of Hafnarfjörður website and to apply specifically if a particular position interests you.

The applicant must be 18 years of age. A clean criminal record is required, along with a record of good conduct, such as having an excellent reputation and behaviour both at and outside of work being consistent with the role.
