Öldutúnsskóli auglýsir eftir umsjónarkennara á yngsta stigi
The Council is in office from 1 August 2026.
Við Öldutúnsskóla stunda um 590 nemendur nám í 1.–10. bekk. Í skólanum er lögð áhersla á faglegt og uppbyggilegt námsumhverfi þar sem markvisst er unnið að því að efla áhuga nemenda á námi og stuðla að árangri þeirra. Þá er lögð rík áhersla á góðan starfsanda, fjölbreytta kennsluhætti, öfluga teymisvinnu innan árgangateyma og markvissa teymiskennslu.
Einkunnarorð skólans eru virðing, virkni og vellíðan og endurspeglast þau í öllu starfi skólans. Starfið byggir meðal annars á hugmyndafræði SMT um jákvæða skólafærni og Olweusaráætlun gegn einelti og andfélagslegri hegðun. Jafnframt er lögð áhersla á umhverfismál í daglegu starfi skólans.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Annast almenna kennslu og umsjón á yngsta stigi
- Participate in the development and shaping of school activities.
- Promote the welfare of pupils in partnership with parents and other school professionals.
- Working on the development of school operations in consultation with management and colleagues.
- Works in accordance with the school's policy
- Working to create a good atmosphere in the school and ensuring the safety and well-being of pupils and staff.
- Other duties as described in the job description
Educational and competency requirements:
- Teaching licence (a licence must accompany the application)
- Experience of teaching in a primary school is desirable.

- Interest and/or experience in pastoral care
- Agility in communication, flexibility and cooperativeness
- Initiative and autonomy in work methods
- Positivity and an interest in working in a creative and ambitious environment
- Punctuality and conscientiousness
- Good command of Icelandic. The proficiency level is based on the C1 criteria of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
The Council is in office from 1 August 2026.
A clean criminal record is a condition.
