Hafnarfjörður is inviting applications for grants for measures on the windows of houses on busy roads. Grants are awarded for improving the sound insulation of windows on the sides of a building where the noise level is calculated at 65 dB(A) or higher. The application deadline is 19 April 2024.

Hafnarfjörður is inviting applications for grants for measures on the windows of houses on busy roads. Grants are awarded for improving the sound insulation of windows on the sides of a building where the noise level is calculated to be 65 dB(A) or higher. When awarding grants, priority is given to those in the most severe circumstances. Applicants must detail the proposed measures in their application, and the Environmental and Planning Service will assess whether they are adequate; this is a prerequisite for the grant to be awarded.
