Roadworks – Reykjanesbraut
Due to roadworks, the Reykjanesbraut (northbound between Kaplakrika and Kauptún) will be closed. 27th and 28th September between 20:00 and 07:00.
The Highways Department has given permission for the following works, weather permitting. Sunday evening, 27th September and Monday evening, 28th September.
• Resurfacing and milling on the northbound Akranes Road between Kaplakrika and Kauptún. The works will take place from 20:00 to 07:00 on both days.. The Reykjanesbraut will be closed between Kaplakriki and Kauptún while the works are carried out. Information signs and the closure will be put in place in accordance with the attached closure plan.
The work areas are narrow and people and equipment are working very close to the roads. Motorists are asked to obey the signs and speed limits, and to exercise caution in the work areas.
