Sound barrier on the Reykjanesbraut
This week, Ístak will begin work installing an acoustic wall, following on from the one already in place. The wall is part of the noise insulation measures related to the dualling of the Reykjanesbraut at this location, a project that was largely completed last year. The work will be finished around the end of June/early July.

This week, Ístak will begin work installing a sound barrier, following on from the one already in place. The barrier is part of the noise insulation measures associated with the dualling of the Reykjanesbraut at this location, a project that was largely completed last year. The contractor will have access via Suðurhvammur and it will be necessary to have a materials yard at the end of Suðurhvammur. The work will be completed by the end of June/early July.
