Road closures will affect Hraunbrún, Hellisgötu and Garðaveg on the evening of 12th August. Please have a look at the map. Residents receive special treatment.
Road closures in Hafnarfjörður
Hafnarfjörður draws in visitors on Wednesday, 12 August, on the day of the summer solstice. Seven thousand visitors are expected at the music festival. Echolalia – The Solar Eclipse Festival of Bjarkar & Smekkleysa which will be held in Víðistaðatún. The first guests are expected in the field around midday, when the area opens.

- Traffic on Hraunbrún will be closed to general traffic, but residents of Hraunbrún will be allowed to drive to and from their homes.
- Hraunbrún will be completely closed at the junction with Garðavegur. It will not be possible to drive through there.
- Residents of Hraunbrún must approach from Reykjavík Road or Hjalla Road to enter Hraunbrún. It will not be possible to enter Hraunbrún from Hellisgata or Garðvegur.
- From 11:00 to 15:00 and 20:00 to 23:00, traffic will be diverted via Hjallabraut, with restricted access during this time.
