Seafarers' Day is laden with treats this year, as ever:

Morning events
8:00 – Flags lowered at the ceremony site by the harbour.
10:00 – The Hafnarfjörður Brass Band plays at Hrafnista.
10:30 – Wreath laid at the Mariners' Monument at Vidistaðakirkja.
11:00 – Seafarers' Day Mass at Vidistaðakirkja
The Herjólf Steam at Langeyrarmalir – Steam and sea in perfect balance from 10:00 to 13:00.
Programme at the harbour between 13:00–17:00
Rowing race – Exciting competition at the harbour from 13:00 to 14:00.
The strongest man in Iceland – Strength competition by the harbour area from 13:00 to 16:00.
Cruise – A cruise operated by the Port of Hafnarfjörður from Óseyrarbryggja from 13:00 to 16:30.
The Marine Research Institute's Fish Exhibition – Explore the diverse marine life at Háabakka.
The Sailing Club Þytur – Open house from 13:00 – 17:00 at the club, Strandgata 88.
The Clever One's Coffee Buffet Enjoy a meal at The Clever Clog by the harbour.
Björgúlfur calls Coffee, cakes and a pillow fight at Flensburg Harbour.
„Do you want to come to sea?“ – Strength competition at the memorial to the German presence in Hafnarfjörður.

You needn't look far – just a stone's throw from the Sea Sunday festivities, your fantastic restaurants await. 75 Strand Street, where you can enjoy catering to suit all tastes:
☕️ Pallett coffee – Hot coffee, fresh cakes and a relaxed atmosphere. Perfect for a pick-me-up during the day. Open from 11:00–17:00.
🍕 South Harbour-Figo – A light and lively atmosphere with wonderful Italian dishes and drinks. Open from 11:30–23:00.
🍽 Hope Mathús – An elegant restaurant offering fine food in a cosy atmosphere. Open from 17:00–21:00.
🎉 There will also be fun on The Shore Inn On Seaman's Day, as we honour the heroes of the sea – outdoor area open, happy hour and popcorn for the children, while stocks last – welcome from 11:30.
Visitors are encouraged to park legally in car parks near the event venue or in the town centre and walk or take the bus, as the harbour area is closed to traffic during the celebrations.
The changing facilities are at the Þyt Sailing Club, the Hafnarfjörður Icehouse, Ægi 220, The Kænan, at the oil jetty and the Institute of Marine Research.
Drone flights are prohibited in the festival area.
