Drilling and resurfacing on the Reykjanesbraut
Due to roadworks (grinding and tarmacking), the Reykjanesbraut will be partially closed at Marel and Kaplakrika., from 14th June from 19:00 to 15th June at 07:00.

„The Highways Agency has given permission for the following works, weather permitting, on Sunday evening. 14th June and the night of 15th June.“
„Drilling and resurfacing on the Reykjanesbraut in the westbound direction past Marel. The works will be ongoing." from 19:00 to 04:00 on the morning of 15 June. The section is 730m long. The road will be reduced to a single lane while works are carried out.“
„Grinding and resurfacing on the Reykjanesbraut, turning lane past Kaplakriki. The works will last from.21:00 to 07:00 on the morning of 15 June. The bend will be closed and traffic restricted to a single lane on the approach to the work area.
„Motorists are asked to respect the signage and speed limits, and to exercise caution in the work zones. The work zones are narrow, and people and equipment are working very close to the traffic lanes.“
