Road closures in the centre of Hafnarfjörður and in Vellir
Spring and summer are a time for construction – at last when the Icelandic nights have become frost-free. Road closures will take place in the centre of Hafnarfjörður and at Völlunum on Wednesday and Thursday for maintenance and construction work. The closure period is from 9 a.m. on Wednesday, 15th May until 1 p.m. on Thursday, 16th May.

Wednesday, 15 May
- Fjarðargata from Bæjartorg to Fjarðartorg, southbound lane – closed from 9 am to 4 pm.
- Lækjargata from Fjarðartorg to Strandgata, westbound lane – closed from 14:00 to 17:00.
- Access road from Kirkjutorgi to Haukatorgi – closed from 9 am to 2 pm
- Side road from Ástorg to Haukatorg – closed from 13:00 to 14:00.
