  • 29th-31st August. The Festival Earths and Heavens It starts at 5 p.m. today and runs all weekend. This costume and games festival was a huge success last year. The festival will be even more spectacular this year. Thousands of visitors are expected. 100 will be in costume. Meet Aud's sister plant from the Horror Shop, see the R2D2 robot in the corridors, step into a Star Wars spaceship, and watch lightsaber duels. Where will you be if not there? Entry to the festival is free.

  • 29th August. Aron Pálmarsson's farewell match It's on at Kaplakriki tonight. The people at FH are promising a fantastic programme. A major event. The big team Veszprém from Hungary will be coming to Kaplakriki to play against FH. There will be a huge party on the day, with many of the country's most popular musicians performing.   • 29th August. The opening hours of Ásvallalaugar will be extended until 22:30 tonight. Swimming is free from 19:00 for you to enjoy. Concert of the Symphony Orchestra on screen. Our classic event takes place for the tenth time in Eldborg, Harpa, on Friday 29 August at 20:00, in collaboration with RÚV. Swimming pools across the country will be screening the concert, and Ásvallalaug will be doing so here in town.

  • 30 August. Open day at Hafnarfjörður School of Choreography. You are invited to an open day at the Hafnarfjörður School of Dance on Saturday, 30th August. Come and find out about what we do! PROGRAMME from 11:30-14:00

 

  • 30th August. Total Queens – an artists' and curators' chat will be at Hafnarborg tomorrow, Saturday, at 2 pm with Dörshu HewittGunnhildur Haukdottirand Veronica Brovall, who all have works in the autumn exhibition at Hafnarborg Absolutely gorgeous.

 

  • 31 August. This Sunday, Hafnarborg invites guests to take part in the electronic sound workshop. Electro-Bricolage Ensemble under the guidance of the Canadian artist Dörshu Hewitt. She is one of the participants in the Harbour Festival's autumn exhibition. Complete divas. The workshop is between 1 pm and 3 pm.

  • 31st August. Vegan festival at Thorsplan. The Vegan Society, in collaboration with the City of Hafnarfjörður, is hosting a family fun day and food festival at Thorsplani in Hafnarfjörður this Sunday between 1 pm and 4 pm. This is the 9th time the festival has been held. Great products and an opportunity to get to know this lifestyle.
