Bookcase installed in Hellisgerði
At the beginning of the summer, the Healthy Town of Hafnarfjörður approached the organisation behind Men in Sheds with the idea of building a book lighthouse that would serve as an all-year-round book exchange. The men in the shed spent the summer of 2021 designing, building and painting the lighthouse with the help of many people. The book lighthouse was officially opened today, on the opening day of the 2021 Children's Book and Film Festival in Hafnarfjörður, and it is open to everyone.
