Closure of the underpass at Thórlákstún/ Tjarnarvellir
Due to construction work on the dualisation of the Reykjanesbraut in Hafnarfjörður, the underpass at Þorlákstún/Tjarnarvellir and the adjacent paths will be closed on Monday, 7 October 2019. Pedestrians and cyclists are advised of a diversion via Suðurbraut and Ásbraut, using the underpass beneath the Reykjanesbraut at Hvaleyrarholt, or via Strandgata. A new footbridge is expected to be opened in the same location in early next year.

Closure of the slip road to Strandgata
Work on the dualling of the Reykjanesbraut continues. In the coming days, the contractor will install signage on the Strandgata bridge, shift traffic to the north side and close the slip road to Strandgata. A diversion will be in place via the Krýsuvíkurveg/Krýsuvíkur gatnamót junction.
