Low water pressure here and there due to work on the water supply.

Due to maintenance work by the Hafnarfjörður Waterworks, low water pressure is expected on the evening of Tuesday, 10 September. Full pressure is expected to be restored to the system by Wednesday morning. Residents are advised not to use appliances that are sensitive to low pressure, such as washing machines and dishwashers. Apologies are offered for any inconvenience this may cause.

Leisure grants increase

The Hafnarfjörður Town Council approved at its meeting yesterday to increase the leisure allowance for children in Hafnarfjörður by 500 krónur per month, from 4,000 krónur to 4,500 krónur, as part of enhanced services for families in Hafnarfjörður.
