17th June in Hafnarfjörður – Full programme! 🎉

The heart of Hafnarfjörður beats faster on National Day. Why? Because it's our day, after all. Join the Sports Elf and Solla, Kristmundur Axel, Elín Hall, Jón Jónsson and all the people of Hafnarfjörður where the heart of it all beats – in the town centre of Hafnarfjörður. The whole family has fun together in Hafnarfjörður. Life, fun, art, music and all sorts of events from morning till night on this day of celebration.

🎈 Start the day with a sea swim and a steam, then check out the Vikings at the Viking Festival, try roller skating or even badminton. Then join the parade to Thorsplan and Ráðhústorg, where the festival culminates. There, you can look forward to entertainment, concerts, dancing, a disco and a variety of delicious food and drink.

  • Children can enjoy a play workshop run by Plánetu, get face painting at Hörðuvellir or on Thorsplan, and there will also be bouncy castles all over town. Art lovers can view new exhibitions at both Port city and on The Folk Museum.
