Jónatan Garðarsson leads the first walk of the summer, around the centre of Hafnarfjörður. We recall the strong connection between music and the town's life. We will discuss Friðrik Bjarnason, the Song Festival at Hafnarborg, church music, Vinaminni, the youth ball, Skiphól, Skútuna, the Heart of Hafnarfjörður and much more. The walk will start from Hafnarborg.
The City of Hafnarfjörður is offering cultural and health walks every Wednesday evening this summer. Most of the walks take about an hour and start at 8 p.m., unless otherwise stated. The Cultural and Health Walks are a joint project by Hafnarborg, the Hafnarfjörður Folk Museum, the Hafnarfjörður Library and Healthy Hafnarfjörður. Participation is free and everyone is welcome.
