HEIMA is a music festival that offers intimacy between performers and guests, as well as a diverse range of music for all kinds of people of all ages. HEIMA is now being held for the eighth time, on the last day of winter, 19th April, in Hafnarfjörður, as it has every year since 2014, when 13 artists played in as many homes in the heart of the town. The HEIMA festival has firmly established itself as a fun and unique music festival in the homes of Hafnarfjörður residents, offering a different experience and a greater sense of intimacy than concert-goers and artists are generally used to. The Free Church in Hafnarfjörður will be one of the HEIMA – houses, as in previous years, and the festival will also use the stage at the Bæjarbíó, reflecting the festival's diversity – all sorts of venues and all sorts of music. The festival will be opened at 19:30 today in the Fríkirkjan, and concerts in private homes will begin at 20:00, running until 23:00. The festival will conclude with a sing-along after-party with Guðrún Árnýja at Bæjarbíó from 23:00.
