High satisfaction among parents of children at after-school clubs

Every year, parents and guardians of the children who use the service complete a satisfaction survey about its activities. In the spring, a survey was sent to the parents of 890 children, and the response rate was 88.52%. The survey results are pleasing, and at the same time, they are a compliment and an encouragement for the staff and management of the homes to do even better.

A reminder to parents and guardians to register their children on
After-school club for the 2021-2022 school year. The after-school clubs in Hafnarfjörður are available for children in
1st-4th grade and work at all the municipality's primary schools. Their role is

including, for example, group activities, workshops, outdoor activities and choice. The aim of the after-school clubs is

An application is valid for one school year at a time (August-June), and applications received by 15th June are given priority. Applications received after this date may be placed on a waiting list and will not be processed until August. When registering, it is important to ensure that all information is correct and any special needs are noted. When a child is offered a place at the after-school club, an offer will be sent to the email address provided with the child's registration. The offer must be confirmed by reply within three days.
