The 'Let's Face It' video was shown at the 'Líttupp' seminar.
Little will come of the Hafnarfjörður parents' initiative Let's face the facts at the seminar Little up and its video shown there. It is a call to children, young people and adults to pause and take part in the life around them. The symposium is open to all.
Together in the real world!
Little will come of the Hafnarfjörður parents' initiative Let's face the facts at the seminar Líttupp – Join in creating a healthier online community!. The seminar will be held at Gróskua tomorrow, Wednesday 22nd October, from 12:30 to 16:30. All welcome.
The parents' council's video is considered a model project in prevention. This spring, the council received the Home-School Parent Award at a ceremony:
„The Parents“ Council of Hafnarfjörður has shown great interest and initiative in digital matters concerning children and young people. Over the past year, they have worked purposefully to open a discussion about screen use and its impact on well-being and relationships, including by promoting a phone-free period in all the town's primary schools. This led to schools reviewing their phone policies, and many took a firmer stance on the matter."

The video then served as a reminder of the importance of putting phones down and turning to togetherness and building relationships, just as Littupp is doing now.
Little up A seminar is being held by Netvís – the Icelandic Centre of Cybersecurity. The aim is to raise awareness and encourage all of us – children, young people and adults – to pause, look up from our screens and take a more active part in the lives around us. Little up to create a conversation about healthier and more responsible device use, positive interactions and the benefits of being more present in the real world.
The programme is packed:

„Look Up is open to all. We encourage people to register so we can plan catering for the coffee break. Everyone is welcome. We encourage teachers and professionals to attend, but the symposium is suitable for all interested adults,“ says Unnur Freyja Víðisdóttir, a specialist at Netvís – the Icelandic Centre of Cybersecurity.
There is a widespread tendency to disappear into the world of social media instead of the real world. We encourage you all to communicate face-to-face.
