Primary school car park open for caravans until 9 August
Camping and recreational trips often involve caravans, trailers, trailers, motorhomes and other items that are difficult to accommodate within the grounds without them becoming an obstruction or a nuisance to others. It is possible to park such equipment at the local authority's primary school until Friday, 9th August. Please be advised that there is no supervision in the area and all equipment remains entirely the responsibility of its owners.
Summer is not just a time for outdoor activities and games, but also for camping trips and fun all over the country. These camping trips and outings often involve caravans, trailers, trailers, motorhomes and other vehicles that are difficult to accommodate within a plot without them obstructing or causing a nuisance to others. To accommodate the residents who own such equipment, the City of Hafnarfjörður wishes to offer the option of parking such equipment at the municipality's primary schools while they are closed.
Please be advised that there is no security or CCTV on the premises, and all equipment and gear remain entirely at the owners' own risk.
This offer from the City of Hafnarfjörður is valid until and including Friday, 9 August 2018.
This notice applies only to equipment in active use, and not to numberless vehicles and equipment/gear in need of year-round storage. Equipment, trailers and vehicles without number plates will be removed at the owner's expense. By 9 August at the latest, all vehicles and equipment must have been removed from all Hafnarfjörður municipal primary school grounds.
