Primary school councils meet, learn and organise.
An annual joint student training is held for all student councils in primary schools in Hafnarfjörður that have a secondary department. Such a training session was held at the beginning of this week, where the groups came together and learned about positive communication, the role of student councils, how to implement ideas as they arise, and the power of young people, as well as taking part in games and planning their own events on site.

The training took place at Sjónarhóll in Kaplakriki.

Christmas ball, cowboy ball, hedge-witch ball, haunted house and much more
The training, which covered positive communication, planning and implementing an idea, the role of committees, active participation in social activities and the importance of each individual, was a great success in every respect. The students were exemplary and really enthusiastic, and the staff were fantastic. At the end of the training, the group was to come up with ideas for events, where they had to write down information about the event, a budget, funding, and implementation. The student councils did a brilliant job and prepared the school's upcoming events, such as the Christmas party, a sleepover, a cowboy party, a Halloween party and a haunted house. Also added were new, exciting events that will hopefully become a reality, such as the Hraunvallar School Hill Song and the Öldó Funfair.
