Í tóminu milli veröld manna og náttúru búa vættir, sem birtast mannfólki aðeins á réttum stað á réttum tíma
Huliðsvættir er staðbundin (e. site specific) vídeóinnsetningasería, á vegum skapandi sumarstarfa, sem styðst við kort af Hafnarfirði eftir Erlu Stefánsdóttur sjáanda, þar sem hún staðsetur álfa, dverga og huldufólk, ásamt orkustöðvum í bænum. Ég gerði vídeóverk á völdum stöðum sem merktir eru á kortinu, og setti þar QR kóða nálægt, sem fólk getur skannað á snjalltæki, og horft þannig á vídeóið í umhverfinu þar sem það var tekið upp, og þar sem huliðsvættirnir eiga heima. Frumsýning verður þann 10. ágúst klukkan 18:00, samhliða opnun Minninga eftir Vilborgu Lóu Jónsdóttur, sem verður í formi göngutúrs um bæinn, með þeirra leiðsögn.

Hidden wights live in the void between the world of humans and nature, and only appear to the naked eye at certain times in certain places
Huliðsvættir (e. hidden wights) is a site specific series of video works, in collaboration with Hafnarfjörður’s creative summer job’s, which are based on a map, that the medium Erla Stefánsdóttir, where she maps out where elves, dwarves, and various spiritual locations live in town. I made video works in selected places from the map, and placed QR codes nearby, which people can scan into their smart devices, and watch the videos in the environment in which the videos were shot, and where the hidden wights reside. The premiere will be on the 10th of August at 18:00, coinciding with the opening of Vilborg Lóa Jónsdóttir’s Memories, which will take the form of a guided tour around the town.

About Creative Summer Jobs 2023
In the summer of 2021, the City of Hafnarfjörður, in collaboration with the town's youth centre, Hamarinn, decided to revive the “Creative Summer Jobs” project, which had been run in the summer of 2017. Individuals and groups aged 18-23 were also invited to submit ideas for creative projects in Hafnarfjörður. Selected groups were given the opportunity to work on various creative projects in different artistic fields that would also liven up the town's social life, delighting tourists and residents in one way or another. The staff of Creative Summer Jobs, run as part of the Hafnarfjörður Summer School, are tasked with bringing the town to life, making it more fun, beautiful and diverse with artistic and creative events. The projects are varied and appeal to different age groups and interests. Klara Ósk Elíasdóttir is the project manager for Creative Summer Jobs.
This year, there are nine diverse groups and individuals working as part of the creative summer jobs scheme, and they will be featured weekly over the summer.
