Loading in line with a predefined priority order
Snow clearing is carried out according to priorities, with the emphasis always on keeping main roads and collector roads open. Snow clearing got off to a good start on Saturday, but as the wind picked up, equipment had to be redeployed from the town's residential areas to clear priority routes again. The snow clearance went well yesterday, Sunday, and any work that was not completed over the weekend will be finished today and tomorrow. Bus routes and main roads are clear, and work is underway to clear side streets and footpaths. Clearing the grounds of the town's schools and institutions, and the main footpaths, is largely complete, and further clearance will be carried out today and in the coming days, or as the weather permits.

- Priority 2 – routes to schools, nurseries, collector roads and minor roads
- Priority 3 – cul-de-sacs and dead-end roads
