The curators are: Áslaug Íris Friðjónsdóttir and Unnur Mjöll Leifsdóttir.

Your place, our environment at Flensburg Harbour
The exhibition is an open studio on a new layout for the Flensburg Harbour. In Sverrissal at Hafnarborg, visitors can familiarise themselves with a large-scale plan of Flensborg Harbour and use it as a basis for their own ideas. There, they can also see older maps and plans, photographs, reports and various other documents relating to the planning of Hafnarfjörður around the harbour. The workshop relates to the City of Hafnarfjörður's preparatory work for a new plan for the area around the marina, which is defined as a mix of a harbour area and a retail and service area. Residents and others will have the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the reports and other material used in the planning process, and to submit their ideas.

The project is overseen by Magnea Guðmundsdóttir, architect.

Hafnarfjörður Museum of Local History

Hafnarfjörður Museum of Local History

A lively and informative museum for the whole family. Open 11 am–5 pm in five buildings: the Packhouse, the Sievertsen House, Beggubúð, Siggubær, the Bungalow and Strandstígurinn. Free admission.

The Warehouse, 8 West Street.
The Packhouse is the main exhibition building of the Folk Museum and hosts three exhibitions. A new themed exhibition about the film town of Hafnarfjörður, 'This is how it was… the history of Hafnarfjörður from settlement to the present day', and on the top floor of the building, a colourful toy exhibition for children and adults.

Sívertsens' House, 6 Vesturgata.
The Sívertsen House is the oldest house in the town, built between 1803 and 1805 by Bjarni Sívertsen, who was in his day the most prominent businessman in Hafnarfjörður, running a fishing business, a shop and a shipyard in the town. The house contains a wide variety of information about Bjarni and his family.

Beggubúð, 3b Kirkjuvegur.
The building houses the Museum of Trade and Industry's exhibition. It was built in 1906 as a shop for Egil Jacobsen's business. It was formerly located on Strandgata, the town's main shopping street, but was moved to the museum's grounds, restored, and opened as an exhibition hall in 2008.

Siglufjörður, Church Road 10.
Stepping inside this little house is a truly unique experience. Siggubær was built in 1902 and is preserved as an example of a working-class or fisherman's home in Hafnarfjörður from the first half of the 20th century. In addition, the 'Elves and Belief in Elves' exhibition is open at Siggubær.

Bookless Bungalow, 32 Vesturgata.
The house tells the story of the foreign fishing industry at the beginning of the 20th century, but the building itself is also a unique museum piece and was opened as an exhibition and reception house in 2008 after extensive renovations. The bungalow was built as a residence for the Scottish brothers Harry and Douglas Bookless in 1918, who ran an extensive fishing business from Hafnarfjörður during the first half of the 20th century. They were influential and the town's largest employers for many years, and the brothers' drawing room can be seen in the house.

The Coastal Path
On the promenade along the harbour in Hafnarfjörður, the Hafnarfjörður Folk Museum has an exhibition space for its photography collection. There you can see the photography exhibition „Hafnarfjörður from a Women's Perspective“, featuring photographs from the first half of the 20th century by Sigríður Erlendsdóttir and Ólafía G. Jónsdóttir.
