The Children's Book and Film Festival in Hafnarfjörður

Film screenings at the Bæjarbíó are part of the Book and Film Festival for Children, which is taking place this week. This is a new cultural festival for children in Hafnarfjörður, with a special focus on books and films, and creative and fun projects related to both. The festival aims to foster children's interest in reading and literacy in the broadest sense, and will support the literacy projects of the city's nurseries and primary schools that have been running for the past few terms. The cultural festival is held in close collaboration between the City of Hafnarfjörður and the Hafnarfjörður Public Library, its primary schools, nursery schools, the Town Cinema, Hafnarborg Museum, the Folk Museum, the Fjörð Shopping Centre, and other partners.
