Hafnarfjörður buys the old tax office
Today, the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs, on behalf of the state treasury, and the City of Hafnarfjörður signed a purchase agreement for 14 Suðurgata in Hafnarfjörður. The property is a building of almost 1,300 square metres that previously housed the old tax office.
Today, the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs, on behalf of the state treasury, and the City of Hafnarfjörður signed a purchase agreement for Suðurgata 14 in Hafnarfjörður. The property is a building of almost 1,300 square metres that previously housed the old tax office. Hafnarfjörður intends to use the premises for a workplace and services for disabled people, as well as other activities that can be accommodated in the building. The purchase price for the property is 256 million, and the premises will be handed over on 1 November, according to the agreement.
It was Finance Minister Benedikt Jóhannesson and Haraldur L. Haraldsson who signed the agreements just after midday at Hafnarfjörður Town Hall.
