Special precautions in the council's sports halls until 12 October
All operations and actions are now aimed at ensuring, among other things, that children's school and leisure activities, including sports, remain unaffected.
The third wave of Covid-19 began with considerable force last week, and the cautious measures were aimed at ensuring, among other things, that children's schooling and leisure activities, including sports, could continue uninterrupted. It has therefore been decided to implement the accompanying measures until at least 12 October 2020, subject to developments regarding further infections in our area.
The measures to be taken, in addition to standard infection control, are as follows:
- Public access to children's matches and training sessions is prohibited.
- Parents and guardians should not be present at children's training sessions and leisure activities.
- Parents and guardians are to follow instructions for entry into the sports halls.
- Activities not related to the sports halls are not permitted, e.g. informal adult sports activities not affiliated with the ISI.
Meetings are held regularly with the managers of municipal sports in the capital region to coordinate procedures and share experience and information between the parties. Decisions on the next steps will be made with these parties.
These restrictions are certainly burdensome, but it is important to protect the school community and young people, and to do everything possible to ensure that disruption to their activities is kept to a minimum. Other sports halls and leisure facilities in the capital area that are not run by local councils are encouraged to do the same, as it is important that everyone does everything possible to protect those concerned. The aim is not to disrupt children's sports or competitions, but to keep them running.
We are all civil defence!
