Two split containers suitable for smaller households

For smaller households in granny flats with two or fewer residents who do not have access to the landlord's rubbish bins, it is advisable to have two 240L lidded bins: one for food waste and mixed rubbish, and one for plastic and paper. However, households with more than two residents in granny flats are required to have a minimum of a 240L bin for food scraps and mixed waste, a 240L bin for plastics, and a 240L bin for paper. You can buy rubbish bins here.

If you are in doubt about how to classify your household and/or construction waste, a comprehensive search engine can be found at Sorpu website. There you can also see if, where and what the rubbish is recycled or reused.
