Bláfjallavegur closed for now

Today, Tuesday, 4th February, at 3 p.m., the Bláfjallavegur (417), from Bláfjallaleið to the Leiðarenda cave, will be closed for the time being for water protection reasons. The Hafnarfjörður Town Council approved the temporary closure at its meeting on 29 August 2019 and simultaneously requested a further environmental and risk assessment of the road section. Disruption to the supply of cold water in Holt

Agreement signed on the implementation of divorce counselling

The Minister for Social Affairs and Children, Ásmundur Einar Daðason, and the Mayor of Hafnarfjörður, Rósa Guðbjartsdóttir, yesterday signed an agreement for the town's participation in a pilot project run by the ministry on the implementation of divorce counselling.
