– New project manager appointed

The next steps in the development of St. Jó's Quality of Life Centre were outlined at a meeting of the Hafnarfjörður Town Council last Wednesday, when it was agreed to complete external works this summer, as well as improve accessibility and repair the handrail in the internal stairwell. This coming 5th September will mark one year since the St. Jó Wellbeing Centre was opened on the 2nd floor of the building, and all its spaces are currently available for hire. The City of Hafnarfjörður purchased the state's 85.1% share in the property at 41 Suðurgata in the summer of 2017, which previously housed St. Joseph's Hospital.

She was the Managing Director of Individual Consulting and Communications at Tryggingamiðstöðin from 2006-2016 and a management consultant at PWC/IBM/ParX from 2000-2006. Recommended Daily AllowanceRagnheiður Agnarsdóttir is a project manager and consultant for the St. Jó's Quality of Life Centre.

Ragnheiður presented her ideas and draft proposals at a meeting of the town council this week. The proposals include, amongst other things, the establishment of a special society to own and manage the building, and seeking tenders for the works required to bring the entire premises into use. There is currently a waiting list for spaces to rent in the premises, and there is a good chance that the building would be fully occupied quickly once it is completed. It is planned that council work parties will now work on tidying and cleaning over the summer, with the aim of making the building ready for further works, which are scheduled to begin in late summer.
