The Environment and Operations Committee of the City of Hafnarfjörður wishes to emphasise that ice driving on Hvaleyrarvatn is NOT permitted. On 22 January 2001, the Motorcycle Sports Club was granted a permit for ice driving on Hvaleyrarvatn subject to various restrictions.
