For a workplace to be registered as a separate workplace and in the correct category, a team leader must „lend their registration number“. Otherwise, the workplace will not be registered in a separate category, but will instead be registered as part of a team with other workplaces under the same registration number. The ID number is only used to distinguish between workplaces and is only visible to the project administrators. Honesty and the good faith of participants are relied upon during registration.

There are two events:
- Workplace competition where the competition is for the most participation days (relative to the number of employees at the workplace)
- Kilometre race where teams compete for either the most kilometres, or the kilometres-per-team-member ratio.
Each participant is responsible for their own safety. Cyclists and rollerbladers are encouraged to wear helmets and other protective gear, to follow the rules of the road, and to be considerate of other road users.
Let's use active travel!

An ambitious health strategy for the Healthy Town of Hafnarfjörður
Increased participation and encouragement to take part in all sorts of activities is among the priorities of the recent Health Strategy for Hafnarfjörður and its action plan. One of the main objectives of the Health Strategy for Hafnarfjörður is to foster the general well-being of residents, both mental and physical, at all ages, and to strengthen and promote self-esteem and good mental health. Among other things, it is proposed to increase cooperation with voluntary organisations, professionals, enthusiasts and the health service for health promotion and well-being, and to increase the provision of information regarding services available in this area. A collaborative platform will be established for the relevant parties, with the participation of the Youth Council, the Elderly Council, the Advisory Council, the Newcomers' Council and the Neighbourhood Council, where, among other things, work will be undertaken on protective factors against anxiety and distress. The health strategy supports the City of Hafnarfjörður's vision for the future of increasing the well-being of its residents through preventative measures.
