5th August at 5 p.m. – Contemporary Vikings
Jökull Tandri Ámundason leads a gentle walk around the town. The talk will cover the Vikings of the Commonwealth era, pagan customs, and modern-day Vikings who are an active part of life in Hafnarfjörður. History, philosophy and entertainment go hand in hand on the walk. The walk will depart from Thorsplan.
The City of Hafnarfjörður is offering cultural and health walks every Wednesday evening this summer. Most of the walks take about an hour and start at 8 p.m., unless otherwise stated. The Cultural and Health Walks are a joint project by Hafnarborg, the Hafnarfjörður Folk Museum, the Hafnarfjörður Library and Healthy Hafnarfjörður. Participation is free and everyone is welcome.
