developed with representatives from these associations based on ideas from a working group on
a leisure transport scheme which produced recommendations this spring. A stop will be installed at each primary school in
in Hafnarfjörður, and there the children will be picked up and taken to training sessions with these clubs that
will start at around 3 p.m. Staff from the after-school clubs will accompany children to
the car and to the training ground. Parents will then collect their children from the sports club premises between 4 pm and 5 pm. This service will cost the City of Hafnarfjörður between three and
four million.
Here, the first step is taken in shortening the school day for the youngest
of the children and make their working day more exciting, meet parents' wishes even better, increase parents' togetherness and
children, and still use the sports facilities
