Drilling and resurfacing on the Reykjanesbraut
Due to roadworks (grinding and tarmacking), the following areas on/near the Reykjanesbraut will be closed on 25th June to 26th June, if the weather allows.

„The Highways Agency has given permission for the following works, weather permitting. Thursday 25 June and the night of 26 June.“
„Resurfacing and milling on Reykjanesbraut – Roundabout at Lækjargata (attachment 8.0.9). The works will take place from 20:00 to 07:00 on the night of 26 June.“
„Traffic will be restricted to a single lane in accordance with the drawing. 5.1.2.2 on the Reykjanesbraut at Ásvellir, and the road will then be closed for a further period. The entrance to the Reykjanesbraut from Kaldárselsvegur will also be closed. A diversion will be via Strandgata, Fjarðargata and Reykjavíkurvegur.“

„Reykjanesbraut will be closed between Kaplakrika and Lækjargata, along with Lækjargata up to the roundabout. The diversion will be via Strandgata, Fjarðargata and Reykjavíkurveg.“
„The work areas are narrow and people and equipment are working very close to the roads. Motorists are therefore asked to observe the signs and speed limits, and to exercise caution in the work areas.“
