Vocational school choices for Year 10
Almost 60 Year 10 pupils from the schools in Hafnarfjörður yesterday began an elective course at the Technical College in Hafnarfjörður. The course is designed to introduce pupils to the procedures and working methods in various vocational subjects. Pupils of the same age in Garðabær are also attending the elective.

The aims of the options are varied. Students get their first experience of secondary school-level study, are introduced to vocational subjects and vocational training, and broaden their horizons, which can assist them in choosing a secondary school to attend after completing their primary education. In total, just over 350 pupils started Year 10 in the primary schools of Hafnarfjörður this autumn.
